Early Mountain Vineyards brings on the oysters, again

Early Mountain Vineyards is hosting its 2nd annual oyster festival, Sat., March 8. Last year’s inaugural festival sold out, and organizers expect the same for this year.
As before, the festival offers unlimited oysters from Virginia’s Eastern Shore, clams, chowder and all the fixings. The fixings are provided by Kitchen of Charlottesville and include dirty rice and bean jambalaya, ham biscuits, potato salad, hushpuppies, corn on the cob and collard greens.
The steamed and roasted oysters are coming from Magotha Bay on the southern tip of the Eastern Shore. The raw bar will feature sweeter varieties of aqua-cultured oysters from the bayside, specifically from Hungars Creek and Church Creek, as well as saltier seaside varieties from Magotha Bay. The clams will also be sourced from Hungars Creek.
For the perfect pairing, each guest receives a complimentary glass of 2012 Chatham Church Creek Steel Chardonnay, one of Early Mountain’s “Best of Virginia” selections, and a souvenir glass to take home. Additional wine will be available for purchase, and Early Mountain’s tasting room will also be open. Adding to the festivities, there will be live music by Peacetime, performing a mix of jazz, soft rock and funk music.
Located in Madison, Va., at the foothills of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, Early Mountain Vineyards is holding the festival from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The regular admission tickets are $85 per person and available online at store.earlymountain.com/events.

This Guide Will Help You Find the Best Byron Bay Apartments Around

When you go away on holiday you want a great place to stay, it can really make or break a trip. You want well appointed accommodation, somewhere that has great rooms and facilities. It also needs to be in the right location as this is critical to your holiday, being in the heart of it all is what you want. Cost is also important, finding a place that offers a great deal means you have more money to spend on the rest of your trip. Having the freedom to do what you want is also essential, you want to be able to come and go as you please, you want to be able to cook in your accommodation if you feel like it and you want to be able to relax like you would at home. When you want to get away to Byron Bay, you want to find great Byron Bay apartments that deliver it all.
Last things first, let’s look at having freedom. Apartments offer you far more freedom than other accommodation options. Staying in hotels and motels is very restricting, they are regimented, the rooms are small and there is no kitchen. With an apartment you have a home away from home, you can come and go as you please, you can cook if you want and you have a place with space. Make sure you book an apartment.
Location is also vital when looking for accommodation. You want somewhere that is an easy walking distance and central to Byron Bay beaches, shops, restaurants, galleries, hotels and markets. You want to be right in the middle of it all so you spend less time getting where you want to be and more time being where you want to be.
It is also important to find somewhere with great apartments. They need to be stylish and well appointed, comfortable and roomy. You want a place that has all the mod cons, from Austar TV to wi-fi, from full kitchen facilities through to air-con. Make sure you find apartments that have everything you need for your stay.
Also key is to find Byron Bay holiday accommodation that has great facilities as well. You want a place that has a heated swimming pool, landscaped tropical garden, BBQ facilities and undercover parking.
Finally you want to find Byron Bay holiday apartments that are well priced, they need to deliver on location, amenities and facilities, but they also need to be well priced.

Instagram wants to profit from advertising spaces on profiles

Instagram is a simple social media network that allows people to share pictures as they please. The app works like a blog, where the newest picture is loadest first on the timeline. As people scroll down, older pictures appear. It has become the top visual-picture-sharing network online and the number in users keep growing. According to a new Mashable report published on Sept. 9, Instagram is now planning on following Facebook’s advertising plan, where they implemented ads into people’s news feeds.
Facebook received great outrage from people, who began seeing unwanted ads from banks to health-related companies on their timelines. Even religions ads would put up once in a while. And it sounds like Instagram actually likes the idea of implementing advertisements into the timelines, meaning users will have to get used to it. “We want to make money in the long term, but we don’t have any short-term pressure,” Emily White said. White is Instagram’s director of business operations. She reveaed that the company will start selling ad-space within the year.
And it really isn’t surprising that Instagram will be getting advertisements. Facebook bought Instagram in 2012 for about $750 million, so it isn’t surprising that some of Facebook’s monetary strategies are being implemented. Given Facebook has made money from their advertisement program, it is only logical to implement it into Instagram. According to the report, “Instagram announced Sunday that it hit 150 million monthly active users, up from 100 million in February and from 30 million when Facebook first announced the acquisition in April of last year.”
Will you stop using Instagram if you start seeing ads?
